Problem

Starbucks had a new summer Sunset Menu that people knew nothing about. We were asked to create a social media campaign to raise awareness and drive people in stores. The menu included shaved ice style beverages that came just in time for the summer.

Solution

We leveraged the Sunset Menu's solar theme to create sunset inspired Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram content that people would want to engage with.

The Work

Snapchat

The menu was only available after 3, so we leveraged real time filters to remind you to head in store. Our filters were beautiful and unique lens flares that put you out in the sun no matter where you were. The lens flares changed throughout the day to mimic the sun.

These filters were created in Photoshop. I never thought I would use the built in lens flare tool!

Twitter & Instagram

We wanted to get  mouths watering to try the granitas and trifles. We continued to leverage the solar theme with dramatic shadows and sunlight, letting the products shine (pun intended).

Instagram

We created a carousel ad to bring to life the feeling of the Sunset menu – a beach boardwalk lifestyle under the sun.
